A Program Officer from Artspire, a project of the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) will present on Artspire/NYFA’s fundraising and support programs available nationwide for artists in all disciplines at every stage in their careers.
Eleanor Whitney, Program Officer for External Affairs and Fiscal Sponsorship will give a presentation that is geared to individual artists across disciplines and emerging arts organizations on Artspire/NYFA’s extensive fundraising and support programs. Visual, performing, literary artists and filmmakers are all encouraged to attend.
Whitney will present on Friday, August 5, 2011, 12:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
at Portland Center Stage, 128 NW 11 Ave., Portland, OR 97209. The presentation will include time for questions and group discussion; followed by networking breakout groups giving participants a chance to speak with each other, Artspire, and RACC staff about specific challenges in their practice, including finding greater funding and exhibition opportunities. Participants also have the opportunity to sign up in advance for an Artpsire One-On-One mini-consulting session. These sessions give artists an opportunity to meet one-on-one for 10 minutes with Eleanor Whitney, Program Officer from Artspire, to discuss how to meet a specific professional goal. Participants may bring a grant, fiscal sponsorship, or residency application, or project proposal for review and feedback; use the session to brainstorm and discover where to find additional resources and opportunities for a specific project; or discuss next steps for achieving their goal. Artspire One-On-One mini-consulting sessions are $10 for 10 minutes.
